The UFO Wide 30 is also available in different specials designed on the same outline to optimize the fins for given conditions. Each section is suited for specific conditions.

• The UFO Wide 30 is the standard version, best suited for flat water speed behind a sand bar or other ‘tool’ to keep the water flat but it will work equally well in open water shallow water low chop conditions for any experienced rider. The fin is designed for speeds high up in the 50 knots. The UFO Wide 30 20cm is the fastest symmetrical fin in the world with an average speed of 49.41 kts over 500m (Antoine Albeau Nov.7th, 2012 at Lüderitz).
  The fastest and most technical symmetrical speedfin for high level sailors.
• The UFO Wide 30 SC (Super Charged) is designed to give more power behind a speed bank when the winds are gusty. The fin will work great in speeds up until 48 knots and when used combined with boards with a bit wider tails as it has more power.
  A little more power and therefore ease of use. 
• The UFO Wide 30 10% is designed to track in the roughest open shallow water speed conditions. As speeds are mostly self limited, lift, safety and traction from low speeds onward, are more important than a possible super high end speed. The UFO Wide 30 10% will take speeds up until 45 knots at ease. This fin is also suited for the less experienced riders who sometimes are faced with spin-outs issues that cause fear in the run-up. It helps a rider to feel more confident and learns him/her to ride the fin. Upwind performance is also better with the thick profile, making the trip back upwind quite a bit easier.
  The easiest to sail wide based 30 version of our speedfin range. It delivers power already at lower speeds. Therefore this fin is suited for less technical sailors and those speedsailors looking + 40 knot speeds. It will help you grow to a super charged and ultimately to the standard UFO Wide 30 or Asy 30 fins.

• The UFO Wide 30 Asy fins have proven to be World Record worthy with 4 Official WSSRC approved World Records set on this fin design in Luderitz, 2012. Although designed as non compromise speed weapons, the shape and chosen section still ensure a good upwind ride, being one of the true strengths of this asy fin. With a nearly one hundred kilometer per hour top speed and an all time second best WSSRC approved average speed over 500m, we can proudly say our fins are the proven fastest G-10 fins on the market right now. The UFO Wide 30 ASY fins are available in both a Port Tack (PT) and Starboard Tack (ST) version.

The wide based elliptical outline ensures a very smooth and secure, yet blistering fast ride. The run-up is less critical than most other fins available right now making it a great option not only for some of the fastest pro and semi pro riders in the World like Antoine Albeau, Björn Dunkerbeck and Jurjen van der Noord, but also for the less skilled riders who want to improve their speeds. The UFO rides with moderate tail lift. It needs to get up on speed. Any wide based fin has got its limitation in the way that it won’t like high chop. However in the gusts on regular low chop or behind a sand bar, the fin will let the board ride high on the water. The neutral nose lift will help the rider to focus on the path in front of him/her. The UFO Wide 30 will take care of the rest and every little gust will be translated into a higher end speed. There is virtually no loss of speed in a wide variety of course angles from slighty off the wind up until deep downwind.
